Takerkoust Paragliding

The flight

How a paragliding flight works

A tandem paragliding flight over Lake Lalla Takerkoust lasts 10 to 20 minutes, but plan for 1 to 2 hours on site. Here's how the day unfolds, step by step, and everything you need to prepare for it.

How it unfolds, step by step

  1. Booking and confirmation

You make your request online by choosing a package, a date and a time slot. We confirm availability by WhatsApp — no online payment is required.

  2. Meeting at the lake

On the day, you head to the agreed meeting point on the hills above Lake Lalla Takerkoust, about 40 minutes from Marrakech.

  3. Briefing and equipment

Your pilot explains how it works, fits you with the harness and helmet, and shows you the few steps of take-off. All flight equipment is provided.

  4. Take-off and flight

Take-off happens in a few steps. Once airborne, you glide over the lake and the Atlas foothills for 10 to 20 minutes, with nothing to handle yourself.

  5. Landing and photos

The landing is just as gentle, guided by the pilot. Your photos and video are handed to you on site, and payment is made on the day of the flight.

What is the best season to fly?

You can fly year-round at Lalla Takerkoust. Conditions are often most pleasant in spring and autumn, but flying mostly depends on the day's weather. Morning and late-day slots offer the calmest air and the most beautiful light over the Atlas.

How do you get to Lalla Takerkoust?

Lake Lalla Takerkoust is about 40 minutes south-west of Marrakech by car. You can get there by rental car, taxi or transfer. After you book, we share the exact meeting point and the best way to reach it.

What should you bring and wear?

Wear closed shoes and clothing suited to the weather, as it's cooler at altitude. Sunglasses are recommended. You don't need to bring any flight equipment: the harness and helmet are provided.

Do you need experience?

No experience is needed. On a tandem flight, a certified pilot fully controls the wing. Take-off and landing happen in a few guided steps, which makes the activity accessible to beginners and families alike.
